Nurse Consult: If you’re unsure whether you need an appointment, a registered nurse can answer questions about illness, injury, immunizations, or other health concerns, and help schedule care. Call the Nurse Consult line at (309) 438-7676 Monday–Friday, 8:15 am – 4:15 pm, or send a secure message by clicking “New Message” and selecting “Send to Nurse.”'
Fees and Payments
Student tuition and fees include two health-related fees: the Student Health Services Fee for medical clinic access and the Student Health Insurance Fee for enrollment in the insurance plan. Medical Clinic visits cost $20, with possible additional charges for things like labs, imaging, psychiatry, supplies, late/missed appointments. Pay at time of service (non-cash) or have charges billed to the student’s account. SHS does not submit claims to your insurance for you; students must submit their own claims. For payment questions, call (309) 438-8793.
Students in summer classes have Medical Clinic access. Those not enrolled but who attended in the spring can pay a $90 Optional Health Fee for continued access. Sign up through the Secure Student Health Portal by selecting Health Information Management/Medical Records under Messages, then choosing Optional Health Fee and following the prompts.
