All students who register for one or more credit hours and pay a Student Health Services fee are entitled to use all the services at the on-campus clinic for that entire semester. The Student Insurance plan is not needed to access care at Student Health Services, as we do not bill any insurance plan. There will be a $20 front door fee assessed to the user's University account for each visit; additional charges will apply for psychiatric appointments. Eligible students can obtain most medical care at no additional cost.
Fees and Payment
Payment and Fees Information
Additional charges are associated with some services. Examples include:
- Crutches, ankle wraps, and other soft goods
- Lab tests that must be sent out to a reference lab
- Prescriptions and over-the-counter medications
- Radiology Imaging Fee
- Missed or late cancelled appointments
- Automatically bill your University Account*
- Credit Card
*Unless paid on day of service at Student Health Services (SHS Business Office, SSB #203), all clinic visit charges will automatically be billed to the Student's University Account.
The Student Health Services Medical Clinic does not submit insurance claims on behalf of students. Also, since we do not bill any insurance, we are not in any insurance network. Students may obtain itemized bills or insurance claim forms from the SHS Business Office. Typically these forms are available one business day after the appointment. Students may then submit their own claims, first to their primary insurance and then to Student Insurance (if applicable). Itemized bills are also available to students 24/7 on the Student Health Service's secure website. Insurance reimbursements will be paid directly to the student, not Student Health Services. If clinic charges were billed to the student account, then payment must be made directly to Student Accounts. Parents/guardians may not request bills or statements. Please have your student contact us and we will be happy to assist them.
