Sexual Health Services

The Medical Clinic offers gynecological care appointments and education on sexual health. The Student Health Services Pharmacy also offers a variety of birth control options to meet different needs, including pills, patches, rings, injections, and emergency contraception.

Appointments are available for:

  • Annual exams and Pap smears
  • Breast exams
  • Contraceptive counseling and prescriptions
  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Pregnancy testing and counseling
  • Evaluation and treatment of menstrual irregularities
  • Routine exams and screenings for early detection of sexual health conditions

STI Testing

SHS offers STI testing with two appointment options based on your needs: Schedule online or call (309) 438-2778.

Medical Provider Appointment - choose this option if:

  • You are experiencing symptoms (rash, discharge, sores)
  • You have had contact with someone diagnosed with an STI
  • You were tested for STIs within the past 3 months
  • You have concerns about STIs other than Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, or Syphilis
  • You prefer to meet directly with a medical provider

Laboratory Only Appointment - choose this option if you do not have any of the concerns listed above.

Additional Resources

  • Confidential Advising if you have experienced sexual assault, Confidential Advisors with Student Counseling Services provide emergency and ongoing support. They can explain your rights, assist with next steps, and communicate with campus authorities at your request. Unlike most faculty and staff, they are not required to report incidents to the University. Call SCS at (309) 438-3655 to schedule.
