Psychiatry

A board-certified psychiatrist is available at Student Health Services (SHS) to provide outpatient care for students in need of psychiatric treatment.

Most SHS staff physicians can help students with uncomplicated or stable mental health concerns, while additional counseling support is available through the Student Counseling Center.

Students may be referred to the psychiatrist by an SHS provider or the Student Counseling Center. However, a referral is not required; appointments can be scheduled directly by calling (309) 438-2778.

Psychiatry Service Fees

  • Initial Visit: $125
  • Follow-up Visit: $100

Missed Appointment Fees

A 24-hour cancellation notice is required or students will incur the fees listed below.
